Reaching beyond ourselves
The whole CONNECT campaign is about making links between the life of the church and the wider world. We want therefore to include within CONNECT several external projects where we can make a significant contribution through our giving. Each of these projects builds on an existing and ongoing link between the local church and Christian work both locally and in poorer countries.

KENYA – training clergy
In June 2009 a small team from the Taita Taveta diocese in Kenya will be visiting All Saints’. This is a return visit following the strong links between All Saints’ with Saint Andrew’s and the Kenyan diocesan bishop, Samson Mwaluda, and following All Saints’ members leading a conference in Kenya in 2007. We aim to build on these relationships in a sustained manner, supporting some of the visiting team through their training and on to further church ministry.

BRAZIL – saving street children
The Good Shepherd Project in Fatima, Brazil was begun by an All Saints’ member and has been working now for 15 years to raise children from desperate poverty and provide a safe place, schooling, food and shelter. Two years ago, the project began to work in an even needier area called Eucalyptus, operating out of a new, well-built building in an ideal location. The hope is to purchase this building and allow the present work of community outreach and employment training to create a long-term solution to some of the area’s problems.

CHILE – a church for the poor
Our mission partner in Chile, Alf Cooper, leads a thriving church called Le Trinidad which has recently planted a new congregation into a much poorer area of Calera de Tango. After 4 months, this congregation has already grown from sixto eighty people and now wants to build a church so that they can develop vital family work amongst some of their lowest income neighbours.

Supporting children and families in Woodford
Haven House Children’s Hospice is a special place for special children located less than 1 mile from All Saints’ church. They care for children and young people between the ages of 0 to 19 who have life-limiting conditions and who are unlikely to reach adulthood. Families are offered a range of services that include day, short break and end of life care, together with therapeutic play in the community. This means that they can find the support they need when they need it most at no cost to themselves.

We aim to support each project with at least £35,000
